ettore sottsass

You know the pink mirror that everyone always takes mirror pictures with at Pigalle Hotel in Paris? As much as I admire Ettore Sottsass’ work, I wasn’t too big fan of it. Until now, when I came across to this photo above. Would be a perfect contrast in the old Paris apartments.

Also I’m very excited for the approaching weekend. There will be an Ettore Sottsass exhibition at Gallery Downtown in Paris starting on Friday and Fiac, a contemporary art fair, starting tomorrow.

I started the october moodboard with very edgy and cold shapes but over the weekend it transformed to something completely different. How fast the mind is influenced. In the resent Mastermind magazine there is a great chapter about anonymity including editorial with Margiela archive pieces and an article about the anonymous man himself. The darker the mornings are getting, the more I’m interested in the idea of fast and functional, straight out of bed -wardrobe and -beauty routines, being offline and taking the focus off from myself.

Current uniform. These Céline pants are my absolute favourite, even though not the best ones for biking in Paris. Speaking of Céline, the SS18 show will be starting in two hours. Quite perfect Sunday.

I visited the recently opened Balenciaga store at Avenue Montaigne and I must say they did a pretty good job with the new store concept including mannequins by Mark Jenkins. The space communicates about the new image of Balenciaga, but it’s also fairly easy to change when all the hype is over.

Balenciaga dress, AW1958

Few days back I visited Kering’s and Balenciaga’s headquarters and had an opportunity to take a peak to some archive pieces. As I’ve been very into green lately, this dress ended up being my favourite.
